Counsel, Labor & Employment — San Francisco

Experienced labor & employment counsel sought for the San Francisco (or Los Angeles) office of a leading international law firm. The role is focused on employment litigation with an emphasis on individual plaintiff matters and wage-and-hour class actions.

The position suits a senior attorney able to manage a full caseload independently, lead litigation strategy, supervise associates and staff, and serve as a primary client contact. Significant deposition and courtroom experience is required; employment advice and counseling experience is a plus.

There is opportunity for substantive client contact, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to business development and practice growth.

• Active member of the California bar.
• Approximately 8 years of employment litigation experience, including substantial wage-and-hour and individual plaintiff matters.
• Proven ability to manage all phases of complex litigation and to serve as lead or day-to-day case manager.
• Extensive deposition and courtroom experience, including motions practice and hearings.
• Strong project management skills and experience supervising associates; business development aptitude preferred.
