Apply in confidence →Senior litigation counsel role in the Seattle office of a national law firm seeking an experienced commercial litigator to handle complex coverage and insurance-bad-faith matters. The position involves leading cases from intake through trial, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and conducting oral argument.
Ideal candidates will have 8–12 years of commercial litigation experience, strong research and writing skills, significant first‑chair and trial experience, and familiarity with both federal and state court practice. Washington bar admission is required; additional admission in Oregon, Idaho, or Alaska and documented practice across those jurisdictions is preferred.
Position is full-time, does not provide immigration sponsorship, and the firm is not accepting resume submissions from search firms for this opening. The current estimated salary range for Washington is $235,000–$270,000.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice in Washington
- 8–12 years of commercial litigation experience; insurance coverage/bad faith experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage cases independently from start to finish; extensive first‑chair, deposition, trial, and oral-argument experience preferred
- Strong legal research and writing skills; federal and state court experience preferred
- Admission to additional Pacific Northwest jurisdictions (OR, ID, AK) and documented multi-jurisdictional practice preferred
