Apply in confidence →Growing US technology-focused practice is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Cyber/Data/Privacy team. The role is open across multiple US offices, including New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C., and will sit on a team advising clients on privacy, data security and incident preparedness.
The work is advisory-led and includes counseling on privacy compliance (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and related regimes), information-security due diligence for transactions, drafting data-processing and privacy-related contractual provisions, and advising on breach response and incident planning. The team serves a mix of emerging and established companies across technology, financial services, life sciences and media.
Successful candidates will take lead roles on client matters, produce high-quality written work, and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- 4–7 years of post-qualification experience advising on privacy, data protection and cybersecurity matters (private practice or in-house)
- Practical experience with CCPA/CPRA, GDPR and related US/state privacy laws
- Experience with data security incident response, breach planning and privacy-related due diligence for transactions
- Strong legal research, drafting and client-facing project management skills
