Apply in confidence →Leading U.S. law firm is seeking a 3rd–5th year technology transactions attorney to join its Technology Transactions group. The role focuses on high-technology commercial work and intellectual property licensing across emerging and established company clients.
Work will include drafting and negotiating complex licensing and commercial arrangements—examples include software and content licensing, AI-related agreements, cloud and application hosting, partnering/distribution, IP development and technology transfer relationships. This position is transactional only (no IP prosecution or litigation) and may involve counseling on privacy, compliance, and emerging regulatory issues affecting AI systems.
The team emphasizes training and talent development; successful candidates provide commercially minded, pragmatic advice, draft customized agreements, manage multiple matters, and contribute to group knowledge sharing.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in technology transactions or related commercial/IP licensing
- Substantive experience drafting and negotiating complex licensing and software/cloud agreements; experience with AI-related contracts preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical and commercial problem-solving skills in a transactional context
- Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects, work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in staying current on legal and regulatory developments affecting technology and AI
