The role focuses on defending privacy- and security-related litigation and supporting regulatory enforcement matters involving consumer protection agencies and other government regulators.
Typical matters include defending data-breach class actions and litigating claims under privacy statutes and consumer protection laws, as well as handling regulatory investigations. The practice is global, with a multidisciplinary team across multiple US and international offices.
The team is seeking a collaborative, client-facing lawyer who can lead significant projects, draft high-quality pleadings and motions, and work directly with clients and regulators on complex privacy and data-security disputes.
- 4–6 years post-qualification litigation experience, preferably with a focus on privacy/data-security litigation or regulatory investigations
- Experience defending data-breach class actions and/or handling matters involving consumer protection statutes and enforcement agencies
- Strong analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills; ability to manage significant workstreams and engage directly with clients
- Comfort with technology-related issues and complex factual records; excellent academic credentials from a recognized law school
