Apply in confidence →Join a global firm's Risk & Compliance function in Belfast as part of a dedicated Data Privacy team. This is a hands‑on role supporting the firm’s privacy programme, incident response, individual rights requests and privacy-by-design for technology projects.
The role involves advising internal stakeholders across the business, helping maintain and enhance a global compliance programme, conducting DPIAs, supporting data transfers and localisation requirements, and contributing to training and communications to embed good data-protection practice.
Suitable for a solicitor with early PQE who wants a varied, cross‑functional privacy role in a collaborative team with hybrid working and strong development opportunities.
- Qualified lawyer; 1–4 years PQE (suitable for candidates at this level)
- Strong demonstrable experience advising on data privacy and data‑handling issues
- Degree (2:1 or above) and excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with technology; able to explain technical processes in business‑friendly language
- Experience with DPIAs, incident response and stakeholder engagement; strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise
- Desirable: data privacy qualifications (e.g. CIPP/E or CIPM), experience in an international or risk function environment, familiarity with AI governance and eDiscovery tools
