Top-tier national law firm has an opening in its Debt Finance practice in Boston for an associate with 1–5 years of transactional lending experience. The role involves representing lenders, borrowers and private equity sponsors on a range of debt financings and secured lending matters.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating financing documents, preparing issues lists, supporting closings, and collaborating with deal teams across practices. The team handles acquisition financing, commitment letters, debt securities and related corporate work.

  • 1–5 years' transactional experience in debt finance or secured lending (lenders, borrowers and/or private equity sponsors)
  • JD (or equivalent) and strong academic credentials
  • Experience closing transactions and drafting/negotiating financing documents; familiarity with Article 9 UCC and acquisition financing preferred
  • Prior training at a large law firm, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters
