Leading U.S. law firm seeking a Debt Finance associate for its New York office. The role involves representing lenders, borrowers and private equity sponsors on a range of debt financing matters, with emphasis on secured lending and acquisition financing.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience closing transactions, drafting financing documents and preparing issues lists. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive annual pay range (posted range: $225,000–$365,000, final offer dependent on location and experience).

JD (or equivalent) and demonstrated high academic achievement
1–5 years’ relevant experience in debt finance (lenders, borrowers and/or private equity sponsors)
Practical experience with secured lending transactions and Article 9 UCC issues
Experience closing transactions and drafting financing documents/issue lists
Familiarity with acquisition financing, commitment letters, and debt securities (e.g., high-yield or convertible notes) preferred
Training or prior development at a large law firm, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters
