National law firm is hiring a full-time Director, Student Talent to lead student recruitment and program delivery across Alberta, with a primary base in Calgary and periodic travel to Edmonton and other Canadian cities. The role covers 1L/2L recruitment, articling recruitment, and oversight of summer and articling programs, ensuring alignment with the firm’s national standards and applicable regulatory rules.

Key responsibilities include planning and executing law school engagement and on-campus activities, managing application review and interview processes, coordinating orientation and training, facilitating performance reviews, and providing mentorship and developmental feedback to students. The role works closely with an Edmonton office to support consistent program delivery.

LLB or JD degree
Called to the Bar (minimum 3 years post-call)
Experience within a law firm environment, preferably large-firm, with exposure to student recruitment, professional development or talent programs
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; high attention to detail
Understanding of articling, Alberta recruitment rules and the competencies required for junior lawyers
Ability to travel periodically and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
