Growing corporate group seeks a junior to mid‑level associate to join the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) practice in Portland. The role supports a busy transactional practice representing emerging growth companies, founders, and venture investors across the technology and startup ecosystem.

Typical work includes supporting seed through later‑stage equity financings, advising on entity formation and governance, handling strategic transactions (mergers, acquisitions, secondaries), and drafting and negotiating financing and investor governance documents. The team emphasizes hands‑on deal responsibility, client contact, and close collaboration with senior attorneys across related practice areas.

2–4 years' transferable experience in emerging companies, venture capital, or corporate transactional work at a law firm
Experience with venture financings, startup formation, and general corporate governance and transactional documentation
Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, team environment
Interest in working with technology companies, founders, and venture investors
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar
