Employee Benefits Associate — ERISA & Benefits, Chicago

Established national litigation and transactional practice seeks a 1–4 year associate to join its Employee Benefits (ERISA) group in the Chicago office. The role focuses on counseling and litigation matters involving qualified retirement plans, multiemployer pension plans, health and welfare plans and ACA compliance.

Ideal candidates will have exposure to benefits issues arising in M&A and restructurings and will work on a mix of transactional counseling, plan documentation, regulatory compliance and dispute-related matters. The team emphasizes mentorship, technical expertise and cross-practice collaboration.

• 1–4 years of ERISA / employee benefits experience
• Experience with qualified plans, multiemployer pension plans, health & welfare plans and ACA compliance
• Exposure to benefits issues in M&A or restructuring matters
• J.D. and active bar admission or eligibility to be admitted in the relevant jurisdiction; strong drafting and analytical skills
