Apply in confidence →Growing national employment law practice seeks a mid‑level to senior associate or counsel with substantial ERISA and employee benefits experience, focused on multiemployer pension and welfare plans and withdrawal liability. This role will advise employers and plan fiduciaries on regulatory compliance, contribution audits, withdrawal liability assessments, funding and restructuring, and related dispute resolution.
Day‑to‑day work includes counseling on plan and trust documentation, preparing and defending withdrawal liability claims, representing clients in arbitrations, mediations and court proceedings, and monitoring regulatory and case law developments to provide proactive risk mitigation advice.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3–5+ years of ERISA/employee benefits experience, with emphasis on multiemployer plans and withdrawal liability (employer or fund side experience considered).
- Experience with contribution audits, withdrawal liability assessments, and related arbitration/litigation; transactional experience a plus.
- Strong legal research, drafting and oral advocacy skills; ability to manage complex matters independently and on teams.
