Experienced employee benefits attorney needed for a busy employer-side benefits team at a large national labor & employment practice. The role focuses on ERISA and tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement and welfare plan matters, counseling employer clients on plan design, compliance, and regulatory developments.

The position offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment and will handle a mix of advisory and transactional work, including health and welfare plans, COBRA, deferred compensation, executive compensation, and related compliance counseling. The role may be based in New York City, Baltimore, or Houston.

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in employee benefits/ERISA counseling
  • Experience with health & welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, COBRA, deferred compensation, and/or executive compensation
  • Strong analytic, writing, and verbal skills; attention to detail and solid matter-management abilities
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a collaborative team; commitment to staying current on legislative and regulatory developments
