Growing national employee benefits practice seeks a 2–5 year ERISA associate to join its Chicago office. The role focuses on ERISA Title I issues supporting funds formation, securitization and other investment-related transactions, and on advising clients regarding qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plan regulatory and compliance matters.

The associate will work closely with corporate, finance and capital markets teams to support transactional and plan-design matters, advise on prohibited transaction and fiduciary issues, and counsel on the operation and ongoing compliance of defined contribution/defined benefit plans and welfare benefit arrangements.

2–5 years of ERISA/employee benefits experience, with emphasis on ERISA Title I and transactional benefits issues
Experience advising on qualified retirement plans (DC/DB) and health & welfare plan compliance
Familiarity with benefits issues in funds, investments or financings strongly preferred
JD from an ABA-accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Illinois Bar
Strong legal research, drafting, analytic, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a team environment
