The team advises on a broad mix of benefits and executive compensation matters, including work tied to corporate transactions and standalone plan design and compliance.
Typical matter work includes employee benefits and executive compensation issues in M&A transactions as well as non‑M&A matters: designing, drafting, and advising on qualified pension and defined contribution plans, health and welfare programs, nonqualified deferred compensation and equity compensation arrangements, and executive employment agreements.
- 3–5 years of law firm experience in employee benefits/executive compensation.
- Juris Doctor and active bar membership in the U.S.
- Experience advising on benefits issues in M&A transactions and/or willingness to handle non‑transactional benefits matters.
- Strong drafting skills for plan documents, agreements, and compliance memoranda; solid technical knowledge of ERISA, IRC, and related regulatory matters.
