Apply in confidence →A well-established international law firm is seeking a California-admitted Employment Associate to join its Labor & Employment team. The role is based in one of several California offices (San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, or San Diego) and offers a hybrid working pattern.
The associate will handle employment litigation and counseling matters, including individual and class/collective actions and wage-and-hour disputes. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings and briefs, managing discovery, assisting at trial, and drafting/negotiating employment, severance, and related agreements. Advising on reductions in force, restrictive covenants, compensation practices, and workplace policies will also be part of the role.
The team represents a broad range of employers and expects strong client-service orientation, responsiveness, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced practice.
- J.D. and admission to practice in California
- Approximately 2 years of labor & employment experience (litigation and counseling)
- Experience defending class/collective actions, PAGA matters, and wage & hour disputes; trial experience preferred
- Strong legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills; excellent written/verbal communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities in a busy practice
