Short-term (3 month) full-time hybrid engagement based in Sydney, supporting a large financial-services organisation on a payroll remediation and industrial relations program. The role sits within a flexible legal-resourcing team and involves close collaboration with in-house IR and payroll stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and drafting business requirements for a new payroll platform, identifying gaps in the existing build, and supporting end-to-end remediation to ensure compliance with employment and IR obligations. You will analyse enterprise agreements, advise on wage-payment legislation, and translate complex legal issues into clear business requirements and stakeholder communications.

  • Minimum 5 years' employment/industrial relations experience
  • Proven payroll remediation experience, including drafting business requirements and supporting platform remediation
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise agreements and wage-payment legislation
  • Ability to work with IR teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Current practising certificate and right to live and work in Australia
