Seeking an employment litigation associate to join a national labor & employment practice in the Albany office. The role focuses on defending employers in a wide range of employment-related litigation and administrative matters.

Day-to-day responsibilities include defending and litigating discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage/hour, contract and tort claims; responding to agency charges; and representing employers at court hearings, mediations and arbitrations. The position also involves counseling, training and advising employer clients on workplace policies and risk mitigation.

The team handles individual and class/collective matters and works closely with colleagues across offices to deliver practical, business-focused solutions for employer clients.

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification litigation experience; employment law background strongly preferred
  • Admission to the New York bar or eligibility to obtain admission
  • Familiarity with federal and state agency procedures and employment litigation practice
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
