The role focuses on defending employers in a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract and non‑compete disputes, class/collective actions, and administrative agency charges.
The position involves courtroom and administrative advocacy, representation at mediations and arbitrations, counseling and training employers on workplace policies and compliance, and managing litigation matters from intake through resolution. Collaborative team environment with emphasis on client service, practical counseling and litigation efficiency.
- Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- 2+ years' litigation experience; background in employment law strongly preferred
- Admission to the Michigan bar in good standing
- Familiarity with federal and state agency procedures and employer‑side defense
- Excellent written and oral advocacy, strong organization and time‑management skills
