The position focuses on defending employers in employment-related lawsuits and administrative matters, handling hearings, mediations and arbitrations, and counseling clients on workplace policies and risk management.
Typical matters include discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract and employment-tort claims, as well as agency charges and class/collective litigation. The role includes first‑chair responsibility on cases, supervising associates and paralegals, and delivering client training and preventive counseling.
This role is eligible for a competitive benefits package and hybrid working arrangements. For California candidates, the expected salary range for this position is $272,500–$300,000 (final compensation will depend on experience and permitted factors).
- JD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- 9+ years of employment litigation experience with significant first‑chair trial/arbitration experience
- Active CA Bar membership in good standing
- Experience supervising associates and paralegals, delegating assignments and providing feedback
- In‑depth knowledge of state and federal agency procedures and employment statutes
- Strong written and oral advocacy, attention to detail, and project/time management skills
- Class action/PAGA experience preferred but not required
