Senior employment lawyer wanted to join a national, Legal 500 Tier 1–ranked education practice. The role will focus on advising universities, colleges, academies and other education bodies on complex employment and HR matters as part of a full‑service sector team.

There is a clear opportunity to lead and grow an employment advisory offering across the education sector, working on high‑profile, impactful matters alongside a collegiate team covering governance, student issues, regulatory, commercial and related disciplines.

The role is open to experienced Senior Associates and to Partners looking to build or extend a sustainable practice on a national platform. Flexible location options are available, including Birmingham.

Qualified solicitor/admitted in England & Wales with substantial employment law experience
Proven track record advising education sector clients (universities, FE colleges, academies) on complex employment matters
Experience leading teams or workstreams and handling high‑profile, regulatory or governance issues
Commercial mindset with business development and client relationship experience
