Apply in confidence →Join an established Energy & Climate Solutions practice in Washington, D.C. as a 2nd–6th year associate focused on energy regulatory work before FERC and related state and regional bodies. The role supports clients including independent power producers, large consumers, demand-response and grid-edge companies, and transmission developers on regulatory filings, compliance, and infrastructure matters.
Ideal candidates will draft persuasive regulatory pleadings, participate in market-design and stakeholder processes, and work collaboratively on enforcement, rate, interconnection, and market-structure issues. The team values independent thought, strong research and writing, and a commitment to addressing energy and climate challenges through creative regulatory solutions.
- 2–6 years PQE with experience on FERC and other energy regulatory matters
- Familiarity with the Federal Power Act, RTO/ISO market design, Section 203/205/206 processes, PURPA, interconnection, and transmission development
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills for regulatory pleadings
- Strong academic credentials and proven ability to work on complex regulatory and compliance matters; familiarity with RTO/ISO stakeholder processes or ERCOT protocols is a plus
