Apply in confidence →Seeking a mid-level Environmental Associate to join a national environmental practice in the Denver office. The role involves counseling and litigation work across environmental and natural-resources matters for a mix of public- and private-sector clients.
Work will focus on air quality, natural resource development, and federal/state administrative law, with frequent involvement in permitting, water-quality/water-rights, and solid & hazardous waste issues. The team handles contested matters and transactional permitting across jurisdictions.
The position requires strong research, drafting, and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters, and collaborative client-service orientation. Occasional travel is expected.
- 4–6 years of experience in environmental and natural-resources law, including related litigation.
- Practical experience or coursework in air quality, natural resource development, and federal or state administrative law.
- Preferred experience with water quality/water law, energy project permitting, and/or solid & hazardous waste law.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; strong teamwork and client-service focus.
- Ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Admission or eligibility for admission to the Colorado Bar; admission in other western states a plus.
