Apply in confidence →Top-tier national law firm is seeking an Executive Compensation associate to join its Boston employment and benefits team. The role focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits matters, primarily supporting transactions such as mergers and acquisitions as well as other corporate and commercial deals.
The successful candidate will work on plan design and document drafting, advise on tax-qualified and nonqualified arrangements, and collaborate with transactional and tax teams to deliver client solutions. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for substantive client exposure and cross-practice work.
- 2–6 years' meaningful executive compensation and employee benefits experience (M&A and transactional contexts preferred)
- Experience drafting and negotiating compensation agreements, equity plans, deferred compensation and related plan documents
- Familiarity with ERISA, Section 409A, Section 280G and other applicable tax and benefits rules
- Strong drafting, analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively with deal teams
- Active bar admission in the U.S. (Massachusetts admission preferred or ability to waive in)
