Finance Associate — Lending (New York)

Highly regarded US law firm is seeking a mid–senior level Finance Associate to join its lending practice in New York. The role focuses on sophisticated sponsor- and lender-side financings, including acquisition and buyout financings, restructurings, special situations and other corporate finance transactions.

Associates will work on complex syndicated and bilateral lending matters for banks, investment funds, BDCs and private equity sponsors, drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security packages and ancillary documents. The position offers flexibility to be based in New York (other U.S. office locations may be considered).

• Mid to senior-level associate with solid sponsor- or lender-side finance experience
• Experience at a comparable law firm representing lenders or borrowers (private equity sponsors)
• Track record on acquisition/buyout financings, restructurings and special situations
• Strong drafting, negotiation and deal-management skills; ability to work on syndicated and bilateral facilities
