Finance Associate — Lending (New York)

Mid-level associate role in a top-tier finance practice based in New York, focused on leveraged and commercial lending, private credit and related secured financing transactions. You will join a collaborative team handling complex, fast-paced domestic and cross-border financings.

Responsibilities include structuring, documenting and closing loan transactions (senior secured, mezzanine/subordinated, acquisition finance, asset-backed and workout/restructuring matters), coordinating with tax, regulatory, IP and corporate teams, and supporting senior lawyers on high-value matters.

The team emphasizes professional development, mentoring and clear advancement expectations within an inclusive, global practice.

• 3–5 years of law firm finance experience, with primary experience representing institutional lenders (banks, private credit) in leveraged, commercial or private credit financings
• Experience with structuring, documentation and closing components of financing transactions; exposure to acquisition finance, asset-backed or warehouse financings is a plus
• Strong drafting, transactional judgment, problem-solving and oral/written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across practice specialties (tax, regulatory, IP, corporate) and work in fast-paced, team-oriented matters
• Admitted to the New York bar or eligible for admission/waiver
