Apply in confidence →Senior in-house corporate counsel role supporting the global legal affairs of a major international law firm. The position reports to the Corporate Deputy General Counsel and will work with the Office of the General Counsel on corporate governance, compliance, risk management and corporate secretarial matters for US and foreign offices.
Key day-to-day duties include drafting and reviewing corporate documents and engagement agreements, supporting risk management policies and training, responding to client RFPs and due diligence requests, and assisting with firm-wide compliance, filings and governance. The role will also contribute to the Legal Department’s AI strategy and deliver guidance on ethics and the use of AI tools.
This is a collaborative, project-oriented position that requires handling multiple priorities across time zones; some travel required. Consideration will be given to candidates in multiple U.S. offices and to fully remote U.S. locations.
- Juris Doctor and active admission to a U.S. bar in good standing.
- Approximately 2 years’ legal experience at a large law firm, preferably in M&A or corporate/transactional practice.
- Familiarity with professional responsibility rules and ethics issues; experience or strong interest in firm use of AI tools preferred.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and counseling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across time zones, flexible hours, and some travel.
