Foreign-qualified Attorney — Corporate (Tokyo)

An established Japan-headquartered firm is seeking attorneys qualified outside Japan to join its Tokyo corporate practice and support cross-border matters. The role will involve advising on international M&A, joint ventures and general corporate transactions alongside Tokyo and overseas teams.

Successful candidates will work on multi-jurisdictional deals, liaise with regional offices, and support client-facing transactional work. Opportunities exist for Tokyo-based roles with interaction across the firm's international network.

• Bar qualification in a jurisdiction outside Japan (e.g., common law or other foreign jurisdictions).
• Experience in cross-border corporate transactions (M&A, joint ventures, corporate advisory).
• Strong drafting and transactional skills; ability to work in multi-jurisdictional teams.
• Japanese language ability desirable but not mandatory; English fluency required.
