Fund Formation Associate — Corporate, San Francisco

Mid-level associate role in a national investment funds practice based in San Francisco. The team advises private investment fund sponsors and investors on fund formation, sponsor-level structuring and secondary transactions.

Strong matter exposure, working with deal teams on formation documents, management company and GP matters, and transfers of LP or portfolio interests. The group is part of a large, nationally recognized law firm with broad investment management capabilities.

• 2–4 years of private investment fund formation experience (private funds / investment management).
• Experience representing both sponsors (GP/management company) and investors; exposure to fund formation, sponsor-level transactions and secondary transfers.
• Prior experience in the corporate/private funds group of a national or international law firm preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and demonstrated transactional drafting and deal-work skills.
