The role is based in Anchorage with options to work from other West Coast or Washington, D.C. offices and focuses on counseling and litigation matters involving federal procurement and federal financial assistance.
Responsibilities include counseling government contractors and grant recipients on FAR/DFARS and Uniform Guidance compliance, handling bid protests, contract claims, and disputes before forums such as the GAO and Court of Federal Claims, supporting False Claims Act matters and internal investigations, and advising on SBA small-business programs and ANC-related eligibility and structuring issues.
The position offers early responsibility, cross-office collaboration, and structured mentoring within a practice that handles the full lifecycle of federal contracting and grant work, including transactional due diligence, audits, and enforcement matters.
- 3–6 years of experience in government contracts and/or federal grants counseling, investigations, or litigation
- Practical knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and the Uniform Guidance (2 C.F.R. Part 200)
- Experience with bid protests, contract claims, or False Claims Act matters preferred
- Exposure to SBA small-business programs (including 8(a)), ANC or tribal entity matters is a plus
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills; bar admission or ability to obtain promptly
