Apply in confidence →Top-tier law firm in Washington, DC is seeking an associate for its Government Contracts practice to handle procurement-related matters, including M&A due diligence, bid protests and claims litigation, investigations, and compliance counseling. The role offers exposure to complex transactional and litigation work across federal procurement.
Day-to-day responsibilities include legal research and drafting (due diligence memos, briefs, motions, contracts), assisting on cases and transactions from inception through resolution, participating in hearings/depositions/negotiations, and advising clients on compliance matters. The position is hybrid with a regular in-office presence.
The firm is looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented lawyer who seeks professional development, contributes to firm citizenship initiatives, and upholds high standards of client service and ethics.
- JD from an accredited law school; minimum GPA 3.5
- 2–5 years of government contracts experience (including government-contracts M&A due diligence); AmLaw 100 or equivalent experience preferred
- Admission to the DC Bar or ability to gain admission
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical and communication skills; attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
