Health Care Associate — Chicago (Health Care Practice)

Mid-level associate position in a national health care practice, based in the Chicago office with options to work across Minneapolis and Washington, D.C. offices. The role involves counseling health care clients on transactional and regulatory matters and working collaboratively with cross-office teams on complex matters.

Work will include drafting and negotiating provider, vendor and business associate agreements, researching federal and state health care regulations (including HIPAA and state privacy rules, Stark, Anti‑Kickback, Medicare/Medicaid, and licensure issues), and supporting client presentations and business development activities.

The firm supports a hybrid working model with regular in-office collaboration days to balance teamwork and flexibility.

• 2–4 years of legal experience; law firm experience preferred
• Experience with health care regulatory and transactional matters, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti‑Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid, and provider licensure
• Experience drafting and negotiating health care contracts and business associate agreements
• Strong legal research, writing, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple matters
• J.D. from an accredited law school; excellent oral and written communication
• Admission to the Illinois, Minnesota, or D.C. bar, or eligibility to waive shortly after hire
