Apply in confidence →12-month fixed-term contract for a data protection lawyer to join a global firm’s in-house privacy and compliance team. The role supports the Data Protection Officer and Office of General Counsel, advising on UK/EU GDPR, cross-border transfers, vendor due diligence, DPIAs and e-privacy matters.
You will provide pragmatic, commercially aware advice across HR, marketing and practice groups, help manage data subject requests, contribute to training and awareness, and work with the global privacy legal team to embed jurisdictional requirements into the firm’s compliance regime.
Flexible UK-based location with hybrid/remote working options. There are opportunities to contribute to precedent development and knowledge management and to liaise with the external-facing data protection practice where appropriate.
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with c.1–5 years' PQE in data protection/privacy.
- Practical experience advising on UK/EU GDPR, international data transfers and DPIAs.
- Experience with vendor/security due diligence, contractual reviews and handling data subject requests.
- Strong commercial awareness, collaborative attitude and clear drafting/communication skills; in-house or reputable firm background preferred.
