12‑month fixed‑term opportunity for an experienced in‑house lawyer to join a global firm’s Engagement Terms Team in Belfast. This newly created role sits at the centre of the firm's risk and compliance function and focuses on reviewing and negotiating client engagement terms across the organisation.

You will lead contract review and negotiation workstreams with particular emphasis on data privacy, information security and AI‑related provisions; drive repapering to updated standard terms; and use technology and data tools to track, analyse and report contractual risk and migration progress. The role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams including Data Privacy, IT/Information Security, and business stakeholders.

The post offers hybrid working and a broad range of employee benefits. The employer is an equal opportunities recruiter and will provide reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process where required.

  • Proven experience in complex contract review and negotiation, ideally within a risk, compliance or law firm environment.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data privacy, information security and emerging AI contractual issues.
  • Track record of systemising processes, driving continuous improvement and working with legal/operational technology or data tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management and commercial judgement with excellent communication and organisational skills.
