Insolvency Associate — Bankruptcy (Austin)

National law firm is seeking an Insolvency Associate to join its bankruptcy team in Austin (also has openings in Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston and Phoenix). The role focuses on creditors’ rights, commercial bankruptcy, workouts, receiverships, foreclosures, restructurings, and related litigation work.

The position requires courtroom and hearing appearances and some travel. You will work closely with the Financial Services & Capital Markets team on contested matters, collections, and restructurings. Candidates should have strong judgment, the ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines, and excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Candidates must have an active bar license for the state of the chosen office or be prepared to obtain one promptly. The firm offers competitive compensation and benefits; a specific salary range is disclosed for Colorado and Illinois roles only.

• Minimum ~4 years' bankruptcy/insolvency experience (creditors' rights, commercial bankruptcy, workouts, receiverships, restructurings)
• Substantial litigation experience preferred (pre-judgment relief, post-judgment collections, hearings/trials)
• Active state bar license for the office applied to, or commitment to obtain one promptly
• Strong academic record, excellent judgment, ability to handle competing deadlines, and effective team communication
