Insurance Coverage Associate — Richmond

Seeking an insurance coverage associate for a partnership-track role in a national law firm’s insurance practice. The position emphasizes coverage litigation and counseling for first- and third-party matters and offers placement in several U.S. offices, including Richmond.

The team represents both policyholders and insurers. The role requires strong analytical and writing skills, comfort working directly with clients and colleagues, and the ability to take initiative on matters. Candidates should be client-focused and willing to participate in pro bono work.

• 3–5 years of insurance coverage experience (policyholder or insurer-side), including litigation experience
• Familiarity with first- and third-party insurance policies and principles of policy interpretation
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work directly with clients and teams
• Strong academic record; willingness to perform pro bono work
• Licensed in the jurisdiction of hire preferred; admission required within one year
