Insurance Coverage Associate — Washington, DC

Leading national law firm seeks a mid-level Insurance Coverage Associate to join its Washington, DC team. The role is partnership-track and focuses on insurance coverage matters for policyholders and insurers, with substantial litigation work.

The successful candidate will handle first- and third-party coverage disputes, draft motions and briefs, manage discovery and client communications, and work collaboratively with colleagues across offices. The firm values strong writing and analytic skills, initiative, and a client-service orientation.

• 3–5 years' insurance coverage experience (policyholder or insurer) with litigation background
• Strong analytical and writing skills; experience interpreting insurance policies
• Comfort working directly with clients and supervising aspects of matters
• Admission to the DC bar preferred; admission in the hiring jurisdiction required within one year
• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and commitment to pro bono work
