Insurance Litigation Associate — Los Angeles

An established, national law firm is hiring an Insurance Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles litigation team. This role will handle insurance-related disputes across multiple lines of coverage and will work directly with clients and more senior lawyers on case strategy and courtroom matters.

The practice covers annuity, health, life, long‑term care, disability, and property & casualty matters, and includes litigation, regulatory, compliance, and transactional work tied to claims, product issues, anti‑fraud, governance, market conduct, and solvency. Associates are expected to manage a steady caseload, work autonomously, and participate in business development and industry group engagement as their career progresses.

The firm offers a competitive compensation package (posted initial salary range $255,000–$300,000) and a hybrid in‑office policy requiring on-site attendance part of the week to support collaboration and client service. California bar admission is required.

• 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably including insurance defense or related insurance‑industry matters
• Active admission to the California bar
• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation files, draft pleadings and briefs, take and defend depositions, and appear in court
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
