Apply in confidence →Join a global financial services practice as an associate focused on insurance regulatory and transactional matters. The team represents insurers, private equity sponsors and other industry participants on regulatory compliance, formation and licensure, regulatory filings and approvals, and cross-border and domestic transactions.
The role provides hands-on experience drafting regulatory filings, agreement documentation, opinion letters, and compliance policies, and supporting interactions with state insurance departments and administrative proceedings. You will work on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and day-to-day regulatory counseling in a highly regulated environment.
This is an opportunity to develop deep insurance regulatory expertise while handling substantive client work and increasing client contact on complex matters.
- JD from an accredited law school and strong academic record
- Admitted to practice in the relevant U.S. state (California preferred for Los Angeles-based candidates)
- 3–5 years' relevant experience in insurance regulatory, transactional work, or both
- Experience drafting regulatory filings, commercial agreements, opinion letters, and compliance policies
- Working knowledge of state insurance laws and experience interacting with insurance regulators
- Excellent drafting, research, and oral communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
