Intellectual Property Associate — Los Angeles

Seeking an experienced Intellectual Property associate to join a global IP practice in the Los Angeles office. The role focuses on trademark prosecution and enforcement, copyright matters, and commercial IP agreements across domestic and international portfolios.

You will manage trademark and copyright filings and responses, draft and negotiate licensing and related IP agreements, advise on portfolio strategy and clearance, and support oppositions, cancellations and enforcement proceedings. The position involves both transactional and contentious work for clients across technology, consumer brands, life sciences and creative industries.

The team works collaboratively across time zones and with in-house counsel; the role suits a lawyer who can manage multiple matters independently and communicate complex IP issues clearly to diverse clients.

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active California bar membership in good standing
• Approximately 5 years' post-qualification experience in IP law with a focus on trademark prosecution, IP transactions and litigation
• Proven experience managing domestic and international trademark filings, clearance work, and responding to office actions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, research and advocacy skills; ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
