Intellectual Property Associate — Technology, Washington, D.C.

Join a national intellectual property practice advising clients at the intersection of technology, government, and business. This Washington, D.C.-based associate role focuses on patent work within the firm’s broader IP group and offers exposure to both prosecution and related patent matters.

You will work on drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications, counseling inventors and technologists, and collaborating with litigation and transactional colleagues across offices. The team handles complex, technology-driven matters and supports clients across a range of industries.

• Juris Doctor and active bar admission in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction (or ability to qualify).
• Experience in patent prosecution for technology clients; drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications.
• Technical background or experience working with engineers/scientists in technology-focused matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical and client-communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across practice groups and offices.
