Apply in confidence →Top-ranked Toronto IP team is seeking an Associate with 2–5 years' experience to join a busy, full-service intellectual property practice. The group advises on protection, commercialization and enforcement of IP across industries, including patents, trademarks, copyright, industrial designs and trade secrets.
Work will include patent prosecution and portfolio management, drafting and negotiating licences and commercial IP agreements, and advising on regulatory and legislative IP issues. The role is suited to candidates with an interest in corporate and commercial transactions and exposure to client-facing work.
- 2–5 years' experience in intellectual property (patent prosecution, trademarks and/or licensing)
- Has written at least one patent-agent exam
- Interest or experience in corporate/commercial transactional work
- Law degree and willingness to provide undergraduate and law school transcripts on request
