Seeking a commercial contracts lawyer for a 7-month interim assignment covering maternity leave with a major global banking client. This is a full-time, hybrid role with an expectation of two days per week onsite in London. Start is as soon as possible.

The role involves drafting, reviewing and negotiating contractual provisions across facility agreements and customer contracts, advising the business on contract and sanctions-related risk, and supporting regulatory filings, breach reporting and licence applications. You will work with the client’s regulatory and advisory teams on sanctions, client due diligence and transaction referral matters.

Qualified lawyer with c.5–10 years PQE (open to suitably experienced senior candidates)
Experience in commercial contracts drafting and negotiation, ideally including financing/financial agreements
Experience working within a bank, financial institution or other regulated industry
Strong stakeholder-management and pragmatic commercial judgement
Sanctions or regulatory experience desirable (training can be provided)
Right to work in the UK required (no visa sponsorship available)
