Short-term/interim role for a competition law specialist to join a major international firm's client-facing consultancy platform. Typical assignments are full-time, six months (with potential extensions) based in Abu Dhabi or elsewhere in the UAE, supporting in-house teams and external clients on competition compliance and investigations.

The role involves advising on all aspects of UAE competition law: merger control filings, antitrust investigations, contract review for competition risk, and delivering training and guidance to internal stakeholders. Assignments span regulated sectors including energy, construction and financial services.

Minimum 7 years' post‑qualification experience in competition/antitrust law at a top‑tier law firm or in‑house counsel team.
Proven experience with merger control filings and handling antitrust investigations; contract review and compliance programmes.
Preferably recent Middle East experience; Arabic language ability is desirable but not essential.
Consultancy mindset: adaptable, client‑focused, able to operate independently on fixed‑term assignments.
Valid practising certificate or equivalent entitling you to practise in the region.
