Apply in confidence →Established national firm seeks a litigation associate to join its Intellectual Property team handling patent disputes across U.S. District Courts and post‑grant proceedings before the PTAB. The role involves active courtroom work, depositions, client and opposing‑counsel engagement, and participation in case strategy and trial preparation.
Typical matters include infringement, validity and damages disputes, discovery and expert work, claim construction, and dispositive motion practice. Candidates will join a collaborative litigation group that handles complex technical patent cases and supports trial and PTAB efforts.
- 2–6 years of patent litigation experience, with work in U.S. District Courts and PTAB/post‑grant proceedings
- Proven experience with factual and legal research, drafting pleadings, claim construction, and discovery (including depositions and expert discovery)
- Comfortable with courtroom exposure and trial preparation; prior deposition/trial experience preferred
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent technical background preferred
- Excellent legal writing and client‑facing communication skills; ITC experience a plus
