Mid-level bengoshi to join a global firm's Tokyo Real Estate/Capital Markets team, advising on complex real estate investments, securitisations and regulatory matters in Japan. You will work on cross-border transactions for domestic and international investors and coordinate with overseas teams to deliver integrated advice.

Key responsibilities include leading and supporting transactions using TMK and GK‑TK investment structures, interpreting TMK-related regulatory requirements, drafting and negotiating investment and financing documentation, and overseeing due diligence and asset-level documentation. The role also involves contributing to business development and knowledge-sharing within the practice.

Japan-qualified bengoshi with approximately 3–6 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in real estate or structured finance.
Proven experience advising on Japanese real estate transactions and securitisation matters, including TMK and GK‑TK structures.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting real estate investment in Japan (including TMK-related rules).
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills in Japanese and English; ability to manage technically complex matters with minimal supervision.
Team-oriented with strong communication and stakeholder-management skills; interest in mentoring junior lawyers.
