Apply in confidence →One-year contract role (possible extension) for a Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer to support a major Toronto-based technology practice. The role partners with lawyers, business services teams and students to create and maintain knowledge products, design legal workflows, and implement legal technology solutions — including generative AI — to improve efficiency and client service.
Key responsibilities include developing and curating precedents, playbooks and training materials; coaching users on practice tools and AI workflows; leading change management and project plans; liaising with vendors and overseeing demos and implementations; and building documentation and training to drive adoption.
Hybrid position with regular in-office days. Competitive compensation based on experience.
- LLB or JD from a recognized law school.
- 4+ years practising law in a large law firm or reputable in‑house legal team.
- Demonstrated interest and practical experience with legal technology and emerging AI tools.
- Strong legal drafting, research and analytical skills; excellent written and presentation abilities.
- Experience developing training, user documentation, and delivering workshops to lawyers and business teams.
- Project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to lead change management for technology adoption.
- Comfort with MS Office and willingness to learn new software; aptitude for troubleshooting and configuring legal tech solutions.
- Ability to work flexibly, occasionally outside regular hours and to travel as required.
