Apply in confidence →An established international law firm is recruiting a Knowledge Lawyer to join its Corporate team in Birmingham. The role supports M&A and wider corporate advisory work, enhancing efficiency, consistency and quality across the practice and helping shape how the team uses technology to deliver legal services.
The post-holder will develop and maintain precedents and know‑how resources, prepare client briefings and alerts, research technical queries and deliver training. A key responsibility is identifying and implementing productivity improvements and legal‑tech (including AI) solutions to streamline processes and support fee earners.
This is a hybrid role based in the Birmingham office with regular collaboration across offices. The firm offers a supportive environment, structured development and market‑competitive benefits.
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with corporate transactional experience; strong M&A background preferred.
- Experience in PSL/knowledge roles or transferable fee‑earning experience with a demonstrable interest in knowledge management.
- Proven ability to draft and maintain precedents, practice notes, checklists and client briefings.
- Comfortable delivering training and distilling complex technical issues into practical guidance for lawyers at all levels.
- Curiosity about legal technology and AI with the enthusiasm to champion and embed productivity tools (no developer expertise required).
- Strong research skills and familiarity with legal databases (eg Practical Law, Lexis or similar); organised, self‑motivated and able to work collaboratively across offices.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to meet any regulatory/DBS clearance requirements.
