The role focuses on employment litigation and counseling, with primary work defending wage-and-hour class actions and individual employment disputes, and providing employment-law advice and internal investigations support.
Typical responsibilities include managing discovery and briefs, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, participating in trial work as needed, advising on employment aspects of transactions, and collaborating with partners on strategy. The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.
For California and Seattle-based candidates the salary range is $235,000–$275,000, with potential eligibility for bonus programs and alternative reduced-hour tracks.
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to practice in Washington or California, or willingness to seek admission in one of those states.
- 3–5 years of employment litigation and counseling experience in a law firm setting, including exposure to wage‑and‑hour class actions and single‑plaintiff matters.
- Strong litigation skills: briefing, motion practice, depositions, and trial experience; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Client-service orientation, ability to work collaboratively, strong organization and attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook; Excel a plus).
