A leading international law firm is seeking a mid‑to‑senior level Labor & Employment associate for its New Jersey office. The role offers courtroom and counseling work across a range of industries, with responsibility for employment litigation, restrictive covenant matters, and employment‑law drafting and counseling.

Typical matters include litigating employment disputes in state and federal courts, preparing and defending employment policies and handbooks, negotiating and enforcing restrictive covenants, and advising clients on day‑to‑day employment issues. The team works on matters that span New Jersey and New York jurisdictions.

  • 4–9 years of relevant post‑qualification experience in employment litigation and counseling
  • Experience drafting employment agreements, policies and employee handbooks
  • Demonstrated experience litigating restrictive covenants and related emergency relief (e.g., orders to show cause)
  • Admission and good standing in the New Jersey bar; New York bar admission preferred or ability to obtain admission
  • Strong writing, analytical and interpersonal skills; attention to detail
